About This Website

The Thrive Education Project Unit is a department of the Faculty of Education at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) dedicated to understanding and improving educational outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Our research and work develops collaborative partnerships involving authentic Indigenous community involvement and promoting the value of Indigenous knowledges and ways of working, while progressing the goals of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Action Plan (2010-2014) and the Melbourne Declaration (2008).

We aim to improve the educational outcomes, which meet the dynamic needs of Indigenous students. We are a provider of quality advice & thinking on Indigenous educational opportunities for schools & their communities

We create environments of flexibility vision necessary to create models that will prepare Indigenous students for the future.
